Joe Ades sold vegetable peelers in Union Square at the Farmer's Market
Over time I bought many vegetable peelers from Joe, I'm still using the first one myself and the others were given as gifts. I'm sad Joe's gone. This is a watercolor I did last April. I felt he really deserved a New Yorker cover so I made him one:
